Dopapod Releases ‘Live At The Capitol Theatre’ Live Album [Stream]

first_imgDopapod has released a new live album, Live At The Capitol Theatre, capturing their triumphant first performance following their return from a restorative hiatus in 2019.Recorded by studio engineer Jason “Jocko” Randall, The Capitol Theatre show showcases the band—comprised of Eli Winderman (keys and vocals), Rob Compa (guitar and vocals), Chuck Jones (bass), and Neal “Fro” Evans (drums)—in peak form.As keyboardist Eli Winderman explains in a statement accompanying the release, “April 27th, 2019 will be a night that will forever live in the part of my brain where my most cherished memories live. That place in my head where I can go and it will always just give me a little feeling of gratitude and appreciation for life.”“You know those times when you have so much fun and experience such pure joy and bliss that you almost don’t even remember the whole thing? That’s what happened to me and that’s why I’m excited to put this album out and see what really happened,” adds drummer Neal Evans. As Winderman continues, “Being in a band is one of the most incredible experiences a human can have. It has so many of the things that people need to be happy: camaraderie creativity adventure the unknown stinky van smells etc… It also contains some patterns of living that really can wear you down physically and psychologically. Taking a break from the band was necessary for us as people but it was a complete gamble as a band. We didn’t know what would happen and we still don’t know what will happen! What I do know is that on April 27th 2019 the Capitol Theatre was brimming with love and excitement for a band and the community surrounding it. It was a truly magical feeling that everyone seemed to be connected to and feeding off of.”Dopapod’s new Live At The Capitol Theatre release is now available on iTunes, Spotify, and all other streaming platforms.Dopapod – Live At The Capitol Theatre – Full AlbumSince returning from their year-long sabbatical in April, Dopapod has been hard at work both in the studio and onstage. Two Second half goals ignite Argos Men’s Soccer over Flames

first_img Full Schedule Roster Preview Next Game: at Shorter 10/13/2019 – 1:30 pm ETcenter_img Cleveland, Tenn.- After a tightly contested first half, the 14th ranked UWF Men’s Soccer team was able to score two second half goals to pull away from Lee by a final score of 2-0 on Friday night inside the Lee Soccer Complex.West Florida (8-1-0, 3-1-0) was actually outshot on the night by the Flames by a total of 9-6 but were able to get as many chances as their opponent by collecting an even amount of corner kicks with both teams having two.In the first half, the backline of Lucas Barankiewicz, Brandon Jose and Hakeem Reid, filling in for the injured Jerry Wiltshire, was able to clamp down the Flames while the Argos offense got rolling.  Goalkeeper Jihad Gomes was big as well with two key saves in the opening period.  It was a good test for Gomes, the Brazilian goalkeeper who missed the second half of the Argos 1-0 loss against AUM on Sunday with an injury. The second half would see UWF open the game up and finally get on the board when Sean Hoffstatter and Ryan Sandidge were able to sneak the ball in the box to find Bernardo Torres in the 57th minute for his second goal on the year.  It would be just two minutes later that Ed Chappe would continue his strong play on the season to collect his third goal for the year and give the Argos a commanding lead in the match. From there on, a collective team defensive effort led by midfielders Davi Alves, Sandidge and senior Rafael Godoi, was enough to rattle to Lee and lift West Florida to a 2-0 victory.Next Up: The Argos will wrap up their quick road trip with a Sunday afternoon match at Shorter.  Kickoff against the Hawks is set for 12:30 pm.For everything on the UWF Men’s Soccer team, visit goargos.com, or follow the team’s social media channels on Facebook and Instagram @UWFSoccer and on Twitter @UWFMSoccer.Print Friendly Version Live Statslast_img read more
