Bob does the double

first_imgPSC Golf from Mulligans LakesideTuesday, Feb. 15, Crystal Bay – StablefordTuesday was a visit to Crystal Bay, where our test was to be the B & C combination.  However the real test of the day was the weather with miserable, heavy rain making keeping grips dry impossible.  The rain was so heavy at one stage that it necessitated a delay as greens were unplayable. Bob Edwards (12) coped best with the conditions to record a solid 32 points, edging Allan Cassin (11) who signed for 31 points, pipping Monte Sykes (6) on count-back 11/10.   The count-back scores were a result of the wet conditions, as both had played good golf on the front 9.Tuesday’s top twosome of Allan and Bob relax at Mulligans Lakeside.Near Pins were spread around between Allan, Joel and Tony, who incidentally converted for a nice birdie 2.Thursday, Feb. 17, Treasure Hill – StablefordThursday saw the group travel north to Treasure Hill where we played from the white tees, making it a good test for the day.  Again it was Bob Edwards (12) leading the way with 35 points, shading Monte Sykes (6) into second on count-back 19/15.  That made 2 games this week Monte got edged on count-back.  He did gain his revenge however with winning 3 near pins, converting one for birdie 2, while K got the other one.Note:  Mulligans Lakeside plays golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday (we sometimes change to accommodate a Thai Holiday).  Presentations are made at the course on Tuesday, with Mulligans Lakeside hosting the Thursday presentation.  For more details on scheduling etc., please call 089 094 1841 or 081 935 8088.  Hope to see you there, Cheers & Good Golfing!last_img read more

Keys To Building Your Own SaaS Security Playbook

first_imgAs enterprise applications and data continues to move towards software as a service (SaaS), the need to evolve security controls and strategies has become increasingly apparent. New developments are now required to access and store data and applications. An evolving enterprise IT landscape calls for an evolving security strategy to keep pace with it.In a recent podcast, information security analyst, Jim Brennan, detailed how Intel’s development of a “SaaS Security Playbook” has given risk managers a foundation for running the same “plays.” By creating a guide for security stakeholders, your organization can ensure consistency in security strategy and responses. The Right Security FrameworkBy adopting the Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA) security framework and security assurance levels of bronze, silver, gold, and platinum, businesses can identify and focus their limited security resources on the most sensitive parts of the business. The ODCA security framework also offers recommendations on the type of security assurances your business should require from providers at each tier. Additionally, it details requirements for access control, encryption, data masking, and more.Know Thyself: Application Inventory & InsightAccording to Brennan, one of the first steps toward creating a SaaS security playbook is to take stock of which services have been migrated to the cloud, and which are still hosted in-house. During this inventory process, your team should create documentation for all SaaS providers, tenants, and enterprise controls. By conducting a thorough inventory of existing services and their security controls, your team can take a holistic and informed approach to implementing appropriate security measures for the kinds of data and applications that are being hosted in the cloud.Choosing The Right PartnersA huge part of a successful security strategy is to keep outside providers accountable. Since the ecosystem is still evolving, many SaaS products are still maturing. It’s important to carefully vet and scrutinize new providers before aligning with them. Security is an ongoing process — your security team should continually audit all SaaS providers and reassess risks associated with them.Brennan anticipates a lot of consolidation in the SaaS space over the next five to 10 years, which is why he recommends signing short-term contracts with your providers. If your roadmaps no longer align, your IT organization should be able to quickly move from one provider to another. James Harden scores 48 points, Rockets win 9th in row

first_img“It was disappointing to lose. . We had a lot of good efforts from a lot of different players. It was good to be in a game at the end against a really good team,” Portland coach Terry Stotts said.Houston hasn’t had a close game in a while, particularly with Paul returning to action from an early season knee injury. That changed Saturday as Portland built a 98-84 lead after three quarters, though Lillard started the fourth quarter with an ice bag on his right foot after limping to the bench.Houston went to a small lineup, and punished Portland’s defense with 1-on-1 offense. The Rockets hit 15 of 18 shots, and Harden and Paul combined to score 25 of the team’s 40 fourth-quarter points.“Me and James were talking about how cool it was. I went a few times and then he got to go a few times. It was fun that we got to play off of each other like that,” Paul said.Harden went 6 of 7 during the fourth quarter, including five layups.“We went small and they had to adjust to us . once they did that, we had shooters on the court and the lane was wide open. So it was layup, layup, layup, 3-ball,” Harden said.ADVERTISEMENT Malditas save PH from shutout Robredo: True leaders perform well despite having ‘uninspiring’ boss PLAY LIST 02:49Robredo: True leaders perform well despite having ‘uninspiring’ boss02:42PH underwater hockey team aims to make waves in SEA Games01:44Philippines marks anniversary of massacre with calls for justice01:19Fire erupts in Barangay Tatalon in Quezon City01:07Trump talks impeachment while meeting NCAA athletes02:49World-class track facilities installed at NCC for SEA Games ‘A complete lie:’ Drilon refutes ‘blabbermouth’ Salo’s claims Donaire blasts Rigondeaux for quitting vs Lomachenko With Lillard’s foot on ice, Houston launched a rally, pulling to 103-98 when Lillard returned with 7 minutes remaining. Midway through the first quarter, Lillard stepped in front of Paul and earned a charging foul, touching off a battle of words that resulted in technicals to Portland’s Meyers Leonard and Paul.Lillard’s 3-pointer gave Portland its largest lead of the first half at 57-46, but Houston outscored the Blazers 16-5 during the final 5:37 to pull even at 62 at halftime.Houston piled up a big edge at the free throw line, making 34 of 42 shots, while Portland took only 12 free throws, making nine.“The disparity was ridiculous,” Stotts said.Sports Related Videospowered by AdSparcRead Next MRT 7 on track for partial opening in 2021 The Rockets, who trailed for most of the game, won their eighth consecutive road game, running their season road record to 12-1.
